Deborah Capper, DVM
Our principal doctor, Dr. Capper is a 2005 graduate of Oregon State University. Married with a grown daughter she loves spending time with her three grandchildrens. Puppy kisses make her day! Dogs Sampson and Flynn, horse and pony Katy and Biscuit, and a flock of chickens and geese keep her hopping.
Dr. Aisling Mac Neill
Dr. Mac Neill grew up and obtained her DVM degree from University College in Dublin Ireland. Originally in a mixed animal practice in Ireland she has been in small animal medicine since her move to the US in 2010. She says the Pacific NW feels just like home. Improving the quality of life for her patients is one of her passions. Married with children she is also mom to 2 dogs and 2 Guinea pigs. Being outdoors with her family and dogs all year long brings her joy.
Dr. Melanie Robinson
Dr. Robinson has worked in veterinary medicine for 25 years, starting as a veterinary assistant, then working as a technician. She earned her DVM at Washington State University in 2011 and practiced in the Seattle area until joining WellHaven Pet Health
Hazel Dell last year. This part of the state is new to her and she and her husband enjoy exploring this beautiful area and all it has to offer.
Dr. Robinson strives to create a bond with people and their animals in order to foster the most caring healing space. Connecting with her clients and patients in a meaningful
way, which allows her to provide the best care for them, is what she enjoys most about this profession. She is very happy to be working with a team that is extremely dedicated to excellent and compassionate patient and client care here at Wellhaven pet

Julie, Licensed Technician
Our practice manager Julie is a 1979 graduate of Portland Community College’s veterinary technician program and has been a licensed technician ever since. Decades in general and emergency medicine have given her quite the toolbox of skills. Julie and Dr. Capper worked together for 8 years before teaming up again to start Wellhaven Hazel Dell in 2018. Geriatrics, hospice and weight management are her areas of interest. She has shown and bred standard longhaired dachshunds for many years. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, do it yourself home projects and spending time with her two daughters and granddaughter. Dogs Milo & Poppy and cats George, Jinx and Handsome Pants share her home.
Callie, Licensed Technician
Callie has been working in veterinary medicine since 2006 and joined the WellHaven team in 2022 as a licensed veterinary technician. Her passions at work are surgery and dental care, general nursing, and nutrition. Callie also enjoys working with geriatric patients. When she’s not at work, you will find Callie active in the great outdoors! She loves skiing, hiking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, crabbing, clam digging, as well as spending time with her 2 children, husband, 2 dogs Sydney and Darla, and 2 dozen chickens. Callie also stays busy with gardening, canning, sewing, and reading.
Jessie, Licensed Technician
Jessie began a career in veterinary medicine in 2018 and joined Wellhaven in 2021. She is a 2023 graduate of Portland Community College’s veterinary technician program and also holds a BS in microbiology. Jessie loves all areas of the profession but especially enjoys working in our laboratory area running diagnostics including blood work, urinalysis, and cytology. She is married and dog mom to Shadow and Layla. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, kayaking, rockhounding and training in agility with Shadow.
Theresa, Licensed Technician
Theresa is a Portland Community College alum and earned her veterinary technician license in 2009. She has been dedicated to providing high quality compassionate care ever since. Married with a daughter, she shares her home with dog Fionna, cats Storm & Tootster, a ball python and a small flock of chickens & ducks. Theresa is a frequent foster for medically fragile animals. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, video games and baking.
Terri, Veterinary Assistant
Terri has been working in veterinary medicine since 2002, and Wellhaven Hazel Dell from its beginning in 2018. She has transitioned from customer service to becoming one of our highly appreciated veterinary assistants. She is very passionate about the Fear Free revolution in veterinary care and enjoys working with fearful patients to help build their trust and ease their fear and stress. When she’s not working, Terri enjoys spending time with her two adult twin daughters and her granddaughter. You can also find her reading, spending time on yard work, and racing on the Fear Not Sprint Boat Team as the navigator!
Alisha, Veterinary Assistant
Alisha has been in the veterinary field since 2012 and here at WellHaven since 2020. She enjoys working with geriatric patients and helping their owners with end-of-life care. Alisha also likes training new assistants and is passionate about spay and neuter procedures to help control the population. For fun, you will find Alisha camping, hunting, cooking, working on project cars and spending time with her husband and daughter, dogs Lily, Torben and Mila and cats Harper and Tommy. She is a proud Basset and Corgi Mom!
Ashley, Veterinary Assistant
Savannah, Veterinary Assistant
Savannah joined our team in 2024 , having worked in the field since 2020. She enjoys helping pets feel better and giving owners a sense of relief with that help. (She also loves all the pet snuggles at work). Savannah is currently working on her studies in biology/zoology and conservation. When she’s not at work she can be found reading or doing puzzles, hiking, camping, and spending time with her dog Finley and cat Alder.
