Deborah Capper, DVM

Our principal doctor, Dr. Capper is a 2005 graduate of Oregon State University.  Married with a grown daughter she loves spending time with her two grandchildren.  Puppy kisses make her day!  Dogs Sampson and Flynn, horse and pony Katy and Biscuit, and a flock of chickens and geese keep her hopping.

Dr. Aisling Mac Neill

Dr. Mac Neill grew up and obtained her DVM degree from University College in Dublin Ireland.  Originally in a mixed animal practice in Ireland she has been in small animal medicine since her move to the US in 2010.  She says the Pacific NW feels just like home.  Improving the quality of life for her patients is one of her passions.  Married with children she is also mom to 2 dogs and 2 Guinea pigs. Being outdoors with her family and dogs all year long brings her joy.

Dr. Emily Cotran

A Boston native, Dr. Cotran headed west for veterinary school to Colorado State, where she graduated in May of 2017 with a combined degree in veterinary medicine and public health.  She decided to continue her adventure west, finding the prefect home in Vancouver.  Her special interests in veterinary medicine include surgery and feline medicine.  In her free time, Dr. Cotran enjoys hiking, running, gardening and travel with her husband Kyle and their two daughters.  They also share their home with two furkids – MacGyver the cat, a notorious escape artist, and Fraser the cat snuggler extraordinaire.

Julie, Licensed Technician

Our practice manager Julie is a 1979 graduate of Portland Community College’s veterinary technician program and has been a licensed technician ever since. Decades in general and emergency medicine have given her quite the toolbox of skills.  Julie and Dr. Capper worked together for 8 years before teaming up again to start Wellhaven Hazel Dell in 2018.  Geriatrics, hospice and weight management are her areas of interest.  She has shown and bred standard longhaired dachshunds for many years.  Outside of work she enjoys gardening, do it yourself home projects and spending time with her two daughters. Dogs Milo & Poppy and cats George, Jinx and Handsome Pants share her home.
