We’re here for all stages of your pet’s life. Yearly visits allow Wellhaven to examine your pet and keep track of their health care. This is also an ideal time to take care of needed vaccinations and to answer any questions you may have. These examinations should be preceded by an initial visit. Regardless of age or whether you got your pet from a friend, a humane society, or a breeder, you should bring them in for an examination. This will help us set a health baseline and guide care going forward.

Annual exams are an important part of your pet’s ongoing care. During these appointments, we’ll perform a full nose-to-tail exam while checking eyes, nose, ears, and skin. These appointments allow us to create a baseline of your pet’s health, so we’ll know when anything changes. Over time, we’ll make sure your pet’s healthcare and overall needs are being met as they age and go through lifestyle changes.
These appointments also allow us to go over anything you’ve noticed at home that may pertain to your pet’s health. We can discuss everything from diet and exercise to behavioral issues or anything else you may be wondering about.
We’ll also work to make sure that your pet is staying up-to-date on vaccines, preventive medicine, and any other supplements they may need to live life to the fullest.
We typically recommend annual exams for dogs under the age of seven and semi-annual exams for senior pets.
